Special Medical Reimbursement Program
As a TPA, we specialize in Special Medical Reimbursement Programs (SMRPs). Our SMRPs are customized to our clients’ specifications while the administration of the program for the group and agent is effortless.
Our SMRPs allow our clients to purchase high deductible health plans and partner with EHIM to provide reimbursement services for:
- Deductibles
- Coinsurance
- Office copayments
- Other out of pocket costs
How It Works
The employer purchases a high deductible plan. After primary insurance processing through the Special Medical Reimbursement Program, EHIM will reimburse employees and pay providers for actual healthcare expenses (such as deductibles, coinsurance, office visits and emergency room copays) on behalf of the employer. This eliminates paying high monthly premiums for members not using the benefits. The SMRP allows employers the ability to provide better medical benefits at a more affordable cost. Additionally we provide personal, hands on service representatives to help employees understand their benefits.
